Damp Days

No more excuses, there has to be another blog post!

We've experienced lovely weather for a couple of days recently, but now we're back to grey skies, low clouds and lots of rain. Good sewing days! Which doesn't mean that anything gets finished, but I am working on it.

The box parts are almost all covered and I think I like it:

Now only the (not so minor) task of joining them up into a functional box...

The trapunto is also making good progress: The stuffing is done, and the quilting, by hand of course, has been started:

Even so, the seemingly unending list of course samples and projects to be finished does not (yet) get any shorter: On the list are the piece of Mola, a piece of Kantha, quilting the Hawaiian applique, sampling for the wall hanging (and making it), finalising the design for the bed quilt (and making that...), and I think I am missing a few samples here and there.
To keep myself from panicking I try to focus on one or two projects at a time, and forget about the rest for the moment. With all the dampness keeping me inside I hopefully can cross some items from my list soon.

Taking a breather between the sewing (and while it was dry for a bit), I took some pictures of the big advantage of all that dampness: The ferns are doing brilliantly!

With all that in our own garden I will not complain about the weather, for now anyway! Which isn't to say I won't appreciate some more sunshine sometime soon...
